New Things

I'm amazed about how many new things Hadley does in just one day. Hadley and I have had a low key week so far. Hanging out and playing home with a quick trip to the store here and there. In these two days Hadley has done lots of new things:

She rode in the front of the grocery cart for the first time. She was holding on for dear life!

She tried a teething biscuit and loved to gnaw on it. She probably sat here for 20 minutes gnawing it to death.

We are slowly introducing "table foods". So far she has had blue berries, beans and some cooked carrots. She liked the blue berries the best by far, but was curious to the other foods!

Hadley found a new favorite game. She sat here and put the blocks in this container and took them out for a long time. She thought it was the best thing!

Then she saw me...

And demanded I snuggle her!

She is also crawling up to her bookcase and taking the books out to read.

Such a big girl. I love these low-key days at home!

Dancing Queen

Most nights we have the "witching hour" between 6 and 7. We usually start bed time at 7 and that last hour is getting kinda rough. The last couple of nights I've been turning the TV off and playing music and dancing and singing with Hadley. She loves and thinks it's pretty funny. She has started "dancing" to the music (aka banging her head) and laughing when she sees me dancing and singing. She was in her spinny toy and I caught her on film "dancing". You might miss it, but I think its adorable and oh, so funny!

9 Months

I'm a little late on Hadley's 9 month post, but better late than never, right? Hadley is 3/4 of a year old and I'm loving the age she is. I can not believe I'm about to start planning her birthday party- where does the time go?! We had a great month and our biggest news is that she is crawling and she is finally getting a tooth. It hasn't popped up yet but hopefully it will very soon! Some of my friends say they didn't even know their baby was teething until they saw a tooth, but not our Hadley. Oh no, girlfriend knows something isn't right and isn't happy about that. Poor momma baby.

We went to the doctor and had a great report. She's growing right on track and is just perfect! Here are our stats:

Height: 27 inches (53% percentile) She was in the 85% at 6 months, so her height has really slowed down!
Weight: 17.4 lbs (33% percentile)
Head Circumference: 17 inches (27% percentile)

Sleep:  Still a great sleeper from 7:00 pm-8:00am or so. After she eats in the morning she has "quiet time" in her crib so I can wake up and get ready for the day! She's taking at least 2 good naps a day and usually never cries when she goes down. She loves being in her crib and she has a few toys in there with her that she will be entertained by while she is falling asleep!

Eating: You eat 4 oz every 3 hours and are doing great with your solids. You have a fruit yogurt and cereal for breakfast and then eats veggies and fruits for dinner at about 5:30. You still don't have teeth but the doctor said we are very close! I think a tooth will pop up in the next few days!! We will start table food in a few days. She does fantastic with puffs so I'm sure she'll love table foods!

Sizes: 6-9 month outfits and size 3 diapers

Things you love: You love anything on NickJr. especially Yo Gabba Gabba, you love playing in your spinning toy and you still love attention! Your favorite thing in the world (besides mama of course!) is your paci. (I had 8 pacis about a month ago and now we are down to two...WHERE DO THEY GO!?!)

New things you do: You are a full time crawler and are doing so, so good! You cluck your tongue and just this week your started "dancing" when you hear music! You are really vocal and say mamamam, dadddadad, mmmm, ggggg, but have no idea what your saying. You are starting to pull up on your knees and do this all the time in the crib and in the playroom.

We love you to the moon and back little one!

Pictures aren't going so great now that she's crawling! Here's the best I could come up with for this month! Haha..

Teething and crawling!

Trying to pull up!

She thinks she's pretty funny!

Applesauce

It's been so much fun introducing Hadley to so many different foods. This month we began adding meats to her diet and she is a big fan of chicken-mango risotto- that is her favorite so far. (The girl eats better than I do!) We haven't fed her anything she doesn't like yet and I've been waiting for her to dislike something. It happened today and it was hilarious. Applesauce did her in. She can eat spinach, peas and pears mixed together (yuck) but some yummy, fresh applesauce? No way.  I'll try it again in a few weeks, but for now applesauce is on the "gross" list.
