My Girls

I have been trying to get a picture of my girls together for 10 weeks (Happy 10 weeks, Harpie!) and Hadley has not been interested at all. In fact, she's been horrified at the idea. She loves her sister, but was very scared to hold her. If you know me, you know that I am wearing Harper 90% of the time. She loves the snuggles (we both do) and I have both hands free... its a win-win.

This afternoon, we were outside and Harper was in the sling and Hads said, "no Mommy, its my turn to hold Harper." She sat down on the couch and even smiled for a picture (who is this child??!!) I will truly treasure this picture and memory for forever.

I love that no matter the mood Hadley is in, she is so sweet to her baby sister. She can be in the middle of a mega tantrum and then will notice Harper and will talk to her in her ridiculous baby talk voice. The other morning we were all laying in bed and Hads wanted to show Harper Cookie Monster...

Speaking of sisters, today is MY sister's birthday! I am so grateful for our relationship and for the relationship our girls will always share! Happy Birthday Caroline!!

Harper's Sip and See

Last weekend we had a Sip and See for Harper. I was so excited to have people over and show off my girl!

My mom and sister are amazing party planners and my mom worked really hard to make this party special for me! I can't wait to throw baby girl Pfeiffer a party when she is born!

Harper had a new fancy outfit and Hadley, Harper and I were all coordinated! I tried so hard for a picture with my girls but someone (read: Hadley) would NOT cooperate.

The flowers and decorations were beyond beautiful and I've loved having all these fresh flowers in my house all week! I wish they would last forever!!

Here are a few party pictures:

I didn't get pictures with everyone- but thank you to everyone that came!!!

Abbey and Zoey were at the party and were my BIG helpers. Everyone kept commenting on how lucky I was to have them! I am- I love my nieces! They played with Hadley and made her feel so special...she was a little annoyed that the party wasn't for her. At the party, Hadley refused to take any pictures but you can see her in the corner! So funny!

It was such a fun party and I'm so glad I was able to show off my Harper! I am so proud to be her mom.

Harper ::2 Months::

Its hard to believe that my sweet Harper is 2 months old already. Its been a fun and exhausting month and our girl is getting so big! We went to the doctor this morning and here are her stats:

Weight: 10 lbs 10 oz :: 34%
Height: 24 inches :: 98%

She is long and lean! She took her shots like a champ; screamed for a few minutes and then calmed down and passed out. She was diagnosed with mild reflux and we are starting some meds to see if that will help her fussiness after she eats.

Sleep: She still is on a "newborn" schedule and so she is still getting up twice at night to eat. Usually around 2 and 5. She takes awhile to fall back asleep, so I'm looking forward to her sleeping more at night! She naps great during the day and especially in the car when we're out and about! At night she is sleeping in the Rock 'n Play.

Eat: She eats 3 oz every 2-3 hours and is sucking better, but is pretty fussy after she eats. Hopefully some mild medicine will help her feel better!

Schedule: Harper is still sleeping in our room and so we wake up for the day whenever Hadley gets up. Hadley comes into bed with me and Harper and she loves to sing to her and "play" with her. Here's a video of Hadley singing to Harpie. Listen to her "baby talk"voice....its hilarious.

On mornings that Hadley has school, Christi comes over to sit with Harper so I can run Hads up to school. It is a complete life saver and makes our mornings soooo much easier to get out of the house! Thank you Mimi!! We usually run errands or cuddle at home when big sister is at school. We start bedtime between 9-10 and most night she'll get a bath, diaper, swaddle and eats.

Loves: Harper loves  her paci, her swing and being worn by me! She is a really easy going baby and just loves to be cuddled!

 Here is a comparison picture of Hadley and Harper...they are starting to look a little more alike to me!

Pumpkin Patch 2013

One of my favorite things to do in October is going to the Arboretum's pumpkin patch and take pictures. This year was especially fun with my newest pumpkin!

I had high hopes for Hadley with a new outfit, new boots and a big bow, but Hadley had other plans. I will always remember these pictures as *hopefully* the grand finale of the Terrible Twos. (We are almost to three and hoping these last few weeks of her twos are the grand finale.) We got to the Arboretum and she refused to wear her boots and ripped her hair and bow out.  Harper was great and loved being outside and seeing all the pumpkins!

Both girls were screaming and we were definitely a spectacle, but I'm so glad we went!

Here is how Hadley has grown at the Pumpkin Patch...

Love this sweet pumpkin!
