Hadley's First Birthday Party

I haven't updated in so long and there has been a lot going on in the Johnson household. We moved and had Hadley's first birthday the next day. I will blog more about our move and our new house soon!

I had planned on having a big birthday bash with lots of decorations and themed goodies, but we decided to have a low key get together at our hew house instead. It was perfect. Since we had only been in the house for one day our moms were lifesavers by helping us unpack and bringing all the goodies for the party. We celebrated our girl's first birthday with our families and it couldn't have been a more special night. We loved showing off our new house and our one year old!

Just like we do in the Kelly family, we celebrated Hadley's birthday for the whole week with special visitors, parties, lunches galore...

Lacey stopped by before our families came over to give the birthday girl a hug! (and the sweetest snowman outfit!!)

Here are some party highlights:

Hadley ended the party showing Emily the stairs. To say Hadley is obsessed with the stairs would be an understatement.

If you are wondering where the pictures of Hadley covered in cake are....they don't exist since she wouldn't even touch the cake! Funny girl.

Hadley wasn't too interested in all her new toys because she was exhausted, so the next morning I put all her new toys and gifts in a bag and let her re-open them! She was in heaven all morning!

That week, I hosted playgroup at our house to celebrate Hadley's birthday. She had a blast with all her friends and I loved celebrating with my girlfriends. They have been such a great support system this year and I'm glad I have them!

Making a quick phone call before our friends get here.

Emily making sure the birthday girl has a fresh paci.

After all that partying (and unpacking!!!) we were pooped and it wasn't even her birthday yet! We woke up on Hadley's first birthday and snuggled in bed and watched her favorite show...

Then, we played with our new princess legos...

And then had a special birthday breakfast (and then sadly retired her birthday hat)

Happy birthday, Hadley girl!

Thank you to our parents for all the help with her little party. We couldn't have done it without you guys. We literally just showed up and our moms brought the food, the cakes and the decorations. God Bless them!
